His journey began in January 1979 when he joined Associated Surveyors and Test Laboratories as a trainee, specializing in cotton controlling and marine surveying divisions.
In 1983, Peter’s career took a pivotal turn when he was invited to join Edward T Robertson and Son (ETR), the preeminent Cotton Controlling company of that era. He assumed the role of Manager at the Taiwan office, showcasing his expertise and leadership skills. His tenure extended to the UK, and by 1993, he took on the role of Managing Director of Wakefield Inspection Services (WIS).
Peter’s involvement in industry associations further underscores his commitment to shaping industry standards. In 1993, he joined the Liverpool Cotton Association (LCA) and twice served as the Chairman of the Rules Committee. His contributions led to his election to the Board, and in 2003, he became the second vice President of the LCA. Following the change of name to the International Cotton Association (ICA), Peter was elected as its President in 2005.
Driven by a hands-on approach to leadership, Peter relocated to Shanghai in November 2007, assuming a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s operations in the region. Despite challenges posed by travel restrictions, Peter adapted and relocated to Taipei, where he continues to serve as Group CEO, steering WIS with resilience and strategic foresight.
