WIS provides a wide range of commodity inspection, supervision, control and monitoring services covering container services, marine cargo surveys and inspection, bulk liquid cargoes, break bulk and containerized cargoes. Our specific services on cotton include superintending loading of cotton bales, weighing, sampling, classing, HVI testing, micronaire, tagging, and checking of external country damage and sorting.

WIS currently operates in 60 countries around the world and has an approximate workforce of 500.
WIS, through this network, handles approximately fifty percent of all raw cotton shipments that are subject to weighing/sampling either before shipment or after landing.
In the 1990’s WIS established companies in each Central Asian Republic & is further grading cotton on behalf of some Republics as well as on behalf of international & local merchants. In addition to the classification of cotton, WIS established inspection centers in the CIS in order to offer clients access to a wider range of services. Additional offices followed in South America, East & West Africa. Also, with the expansion of the Chinese market, WIS (Shanghai) Ltd. was established in order to meet potential requirements of clients.
